Find out what's been happening and what's coming up.
With Otago playing our closest rival Canterbury on Heritage Day it was sure to be a good game. The day kicked off with Otago Spirit taking on Counties Manukau before Otago and Canterbury took to the field. After being behind 13 - 26 at halftime, the team wasn't able to turn it around and Canterbury won 47 - 25.
Otago started October with two home games in a week. First up was Bay of Plenty - after being down 14 - 20 at the break, the team gave their all and won 45 - 34 in a huge second half.
The boys were back under the roof later in the week to take on Tasman. The game didn't get off to the best start for Otago who were down 0 - 28 at half time. Despite a strong second half by Otago, the team wasn't able to bring home the win with the final score 21 - 47.
What a win Otago had in the weekend! Not only do we have the shield home for the summer but it also means a home semi-final. Get all of the details here.
