July was another busy month with the final home game of the Highlanders season and two great concerts.
The Highlanders played their last home game under the roof against the Rebels on 14 July. The tough fought 43-37 win came after the boys were down by 2 at half time. The win means the Highlanders didn’t lose a game at the Stadium all season!
More than 16,000 fans made Kendrick Lamar’s concert one to remember. The twelve-time GRAMMY Award and Pulitzer Prize winning artist had the whole Stadium singing and dancing.
At the Dunedin Centre there was entertainment for all ages with Dunedin Symphony Orchestra’s Songs of Moana. The sold-out show had both parents and children singing and dancing along to the hits from the movie – How Far I’ll Go and Shiny were crowd favourites.
The Dunedin Town Hall was also packed for Tash Sultana’s sold out show and she didn’t disappoint! The incredibly talented “one-man band” wowed the audience with her amazing voice and multi-instrumental talents.
