Forsyth Barr Stadium is going to be humming on Friday night when we host our first ever in-season NRL match between the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the Vodafone Warriors. Southern fans are in for a treat as these teams go head to head in battle! The show starts at 6:40pm with a 9-a-side curtain raiser featuring John McGlashan College years 11-13 and Central Otago Mustangs Years 11-13 - theyd love to have your support from the stands!

GETTING TO THE STADIUM

Stadium and city maps are available at the bottom of this article.

Limited car parking is available in the immediate area surrounding the Stadium. Access to the Stadium East End carpark is only for Forsyth Barr Stadium Members with parking permits. Traffic may be heavy, so the closer you park to the Stadium, the longer it will take you to leave the area after the match. There is a walkway linking the wharf area from Wickliffe Street near the corner of Fryatt Street to Forsyth Barr Stadium. There is free car parking all around this harbour area. There will be road restrictions in place on Anzac Avenue from 4:30pm.

Dunedin’s taxi companies will be busy so we recommend you pre-book for both legs of the journey. Taxi companies can drop off and pick up on the north side of the Stadium beside Logan Park and may access the drop off zone in the East End Carpark.

TICKET COLLECTION

Customers who selected Venue Pickup as their Delivery Option can collect tickets prior to 17 March from Forsyth Barr Stadium Reception open Monday-Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm through Gate J. On Friday 17 March the Speight’s Stand Box Office (closest to Gate A) will be open from 4:30pm for ticket collection, sales and enquiries.

All Venue Pickup tickets must be collected and personally signed for by the credit card holder who is the only person authorised to collect tickets. For identification purposes the credit card holder must present personal ID, the credit card which was used when purchasing the tickets and the account confirmation number.

ARRIVING AT THE STADIUM

Gates open at 6:30pm. We highly recommend you arrive in plenty of time before the start of the match to avoid queues and to soak up the atmosphere! All patrons will be subject to a contraband search so please take note of the list of Prohibited Items here . The safety of our patrons at the point of entry and within the Stadium is paramount so please be patient when entering.

Please check your ticket for the correct entry Gate into the Stadium. Have your ticket ready to be scanned on entry and keep it with you at all times.

Please note if you have restricted mobility, ensure you advise Stadium staff upon your arrival.

Once inside the Stadium, if you need assistance, please approach Stadium staff who will direct you to where your seat is located.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Can I bring food and drink into the Stadium?

Food and Beverage Items Permitted:

  • Bottles of water with seals unbroken less than 1 litre
  • Homemade food - sandwiches, cakes, fruit
  • Special foods for dietary requirements
  • Baby food and liquids
  • Small tetra-pak fruit juices

Food and Beverage Items Not Permitted:

  • Bottles of water larger than 1 litre or with broken seals
  • All alcohol
  • All soft drinks
  • Glass bottles and cans
  • All commercial products - including crisps, takeaways, chocolates, lollies etc. This includes these being taken from packets and transferred into containers
  • Chilly bins or picnic hampers of any size, large backpacks

Am I able to buy food and drinks inside the Stadium? Yes. Throughout the Stadium there are food and beverage outlets offering a wide variety of snacks, meals, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

Will there be an alcohol free zone? No.

Will EFTPOS be available? Will there be an ATM located anywhere within the Stadium?

Full EFTPOS facilities are available, however, cash is a fast way to buy and get back to the game. There will be cash out facilities in the Speight’s Stand and all retail outlets will have cash out facility to the value of $40.

Can I take umbrellas into the Stadium? No.

Can I bring strollers, prams or pushchairs into the Stadium? No.

Can I bring a camera into the Stadium? Cameras are permitted but must not have a removable lens. No tripods, Go Pros, selfie sticks or video cameras are permitted.

Will bags be searched on entry into the Stadium? Yes.

Are you able to smoke inside the Stadium? No, the Stadium is smoke free, however, there are designated smoking areas at entry gates.

Are you able to leave the Stadium and come back in? No, there will be no pass outs. Once you leave you cannot re-enter.

Can I purchase merchandise at the Stadium? Yes.

Does my infant require a ticket? Infants 3 and under are free for this event. They do not require a ticket but must sit on the lap of a paying parent or guardian. Children 4-16 years old require a ticket.

Where do we collect our children’s packs as part of our Family of 4 tickets? Children’s packs are available for Category A Family of 4 tickets only. This is 1 per child and a max of 2 per family. The pack contains a choice of NRL Bulldogs backpack or cap, pack of 9 NRL Elite trading cards and goodies on a first in, first served basis. These can be collected by presenting all 4 Family tickets at the Merchandise Stand on entry through Gate E. Children’s packs are not available for Category B Family of 4 tickets.

MOBILITY ACCESS

Mobility access points to Forsyth Barr Stadium are:

· Speight's Stand (South) via Gate J (lift access available to all levels)

· North Stand via Gates C and E (accessible ramp)

Mobility Parking: There are seven marked mobility car parks available on a first in, first served basis in the East End Carpark between gates E & H. A mobility pass must be visible within the vehicle and all carpark regulations must be adhered to. Once these carparks are full, disability access is offered at the drop off point only. Vehicles must leave the Stadium grounds after dropping off. Additional mobility parking space is located on Logan Park Drive opposite Gate D.
