Dunedin Venues is thrilled to announce Forsyth Barr Stadium is a finalist in the New Zealand Event Association’s Best Venue Award 2018.

Forsyth Barr Stadium’s entry focused on its performance for the three Ed Sheeran concerts during Easter 2018 when more than 108,000 fans were entertained under the roof and $37.9m injected into the local economy. Dunedin Venues’ Event Operations Manager, Brenna McCann was also successful as a finalist in the Best Emerging Event Professional category for her role managing the extensive event logistics throughout.

DVML CEO, Terry Davies is extremely pleased with this year’s performance. “It’s been an incredible year for Forsyth Barr Stadium hosting eight international concerts, a Bledisloe All Blacks Test along with all of the terrific community events able to access the venue through the Community Access Grant. We’re elated to have the team’s hard work recognised in this way.”

The winners will be announced at a function next year.
