Community Event Funding

How would you like to have your community event or activity at Forsyth Barr Stadium?

Dunedin Venues Management Limited supports and encourages individuals and groups to develop their given passion. Community users can apply for funding through the Dunedin City Council Community Access Grant to get free or subsidised venue rental at Forsyth Barr Stadium or the Dunedin Centre. Applications for the funding of $750,000 can be submitted during two funding rounds each year.

The current funding round, for events to be held during 1st July – 31 December 2017 will be open until March 5th, 2017.

Security Volunteer Programme

Dunedin Venues in partnership with Armourguard have developed the Security Volunteer Programme at Forsyth Barr Stadium. The programme was established to engage not-for-profit community groups such as schools and service groups to provide event services including Ticketing and Ushering.

The groups involved complete a Stadium induction programme which includes training in; customer service, ticketing, conflict management and evacuation procedures.

Over the past three years Dunedin Venues Management Limited, in partnership with Armourguard, has contributed more than $300,000 back into the community through this scheme.
