Make yourself a cup of tea and find a comfy seat because we have a bit to get through. Welcome to your first member newsletter of 2024. To be honest I have been intending on sending this for weeks but with two short weeks and an Easter rugby game time really snuck away from me!

We are already halfway through our Highlanders home games and even though we haven’t been taking home the wins at least we have been watching some good rugby. Last week we were even treated to a couple of scraps which really took me back to the Carisbrook days.

Add in a couple of streakers and a cigarette burn in the back on my Kathmandu polar fleece and it would have been the terrace circa 1999.

With three more home games to go and the Crusaders game on the 11th May looking to be a massive night, get in touch early if you want extra guest passes so we can accommodate you.

We are also teaming up with Highlander’s members on the 18th May for ‘Game on the Grass’ Highlanders vs Blues on the pitch and on the big screen.

BYO picnic and chair and we will have the Speights Tavern on the slab so you can buy a beer. We will send out further information on this in the coming weeks and as Amanda from Highlanders said to us last week “Up the Ha’s!”… Not sure if that will catch on.

We had a great response to our Rock Tenors Pink Floyd night in June. If you haven’t managed to get back to us on this yet there’s still time. I went to the Rock Tenors last year at the Mayfair Theatre and they were honestly epic. With the addition of the beautiful St Paul’s Cathedral and the supporting act of their choir to the already incredible Rock Tenors ensemble we are looking at a night not to be missed! The private bar for members at the venue might have also excited me a little, who would have thought you could sip a beer while listening to Pink Floyd in the most picturesque church in Dunedin.

If you're after some tickets, click here to email me.

This leads me to the All Blacks test in July. As you all know your tickets to this game are secured at no extra charge within your membership. We will be sending out an email in the next week with expressions of interest for extra tickets and we will do our very best to accommodate you. I’m looking at it like an anxious bride looking at a seating arrangement plan trying to keep everyone happy… but that’s next month’s problem!

We do have some very rare signage spots available within the stadium so if you are looking for an opportunity before this game please get in touch and I can talk you through it.

That’s enough from me, have a wonderful weekend and we will catch you under the roof soon!
