How would you like to have your community event or activity at Forsyth Barr Stadium?

The Community Access Grant (CAG) helps community groups, charities, and not-for-profits access and use the facilities, equipment and resources at Forsyth Barr Stadium and The Dunedin Centre.

Funded by Dunedin City Council, the grant supports events that benefit the community - from cultural festivals to fundraisers, performances, local sport and more.

How Can I Apply?

Applications are open twice per year.

  • March: For events held July - December
  • September: For events held January - June

Applications NOW OPEN! Closing 29th September 2025 for events in Jan–Jun 2026.

1) Ensure your event meets the criteria set out in our guidelines.

2) Prepare your event details, including proof of charitable status or an incorporated society, preferred event dates, and information about your event including the positive impact it will have on our community.

3) Submit your online application.

Who can apply? - Charities, not-for-profits and incorporated societies.

What’s covered? -Dependent on your event type and venue required you may be eligible for full or partial venue hire subsidy in addition to cover towards security, cleaning and resource hire. Check out the appropriate Funding Guideline for further info..
