Can I hire your venue for my own event?

Absolutely! You can browse all of our venues with our Venue Select Tool. Please contact us to check availability and talk to one of our Event Coordinators who will work alongside you to help make your event a success.

Can I have my community event or activity at Forsyth Barr Stadium?

Dunedin Venues has a Service Level Agreement with Dunedin City Council for funding that provides community users access to a subsidised or free venue rental at Forsyth Barr Stadium or The Dunedin Centre. Applications for the funding of $750,000 can be submitted during two funding rounds each year. Check here for the funding round dates and criteria.

Is there public transport to Forsyth Barr Stadium?

There are normal timetabled bus services from the city centre to the Albany/Forth Streets area. To check timetables go to www.orc.govt.nz.

Is public car parking available?

There is limited public parking near the Stadium and free parking in the wharf area. On event day, access to the Stadium east end carpark is only available for Forsyth Barr Stadium Members with parking permits.

There are seven marked mobility car parks available on a first in, first served basis in the East End carpark between Gates E & F. A mobility pass must be visible within the vehicle and all car park regulations must be adhered to. Once these car parks are full, additional mobility spaces are sometimes available on Logan Park Drive. You can also drop-off at the Stadium through via Gate D. Vehicles must leave the Stadium grounds after dropping off.

How do I make a booking?

The buy now link listed under each event will take you through to the relevant Ticketmaster page where you can purchase your tickets.

Where is my seat?

The Ticketmaster page for each event will include a seating chart. For rugby events, or for general Forsyth Barr Stadium layout, please check out our Seat Finder Tool.

Do you have a coat check at events?

Coat check is not available. Whilst we have a roof, the Stadium is not totally enclosed. The temperature inside the stadium only varies by 2 - 3° from the outside temperature, so in winter you will want your coat with you!

Can I bring my own food and drink?

It depends on what it is. Please see our Terms of Entry for a list of permitted items.

Can I Bring My Camera?

Dependent on the event, cameras are permitted but must not have a removable lens. No tripods, Go Pros, selfie sticks or video cameras are permitted.

Do You Have EFTPOS and ATMs?

During scheduled events, Full EFTPOS facilities are available.

Forsyth Barr Stadium offers a range of traditional food & beverage options, plus healthy alternatives sold in retail outlets along the concourses on Level 2 and at other levels of the stadium.

Please note Forsyth Barr Stadium is working towards becoming a cashless venue.  Faster, safer and easier, cashless transactions are preferred.  There are limited cash outlets available. 

What can I do if I see unruly behaviour?

Forsyth Barr Stadium does not tolerate unruly behaviour.  To report any incident please text 027 486 7859 with your seat row and number for assistance.
